Welcome to the VisComm Collective, a global community of researchers focused on visual communication in all its forms and disciplinary contexts. The Collective began in mid-2026 as a group of the top 100 scholars of the topic by Google Scholar citations. It exists primarily to link scholars across regions and disciplines who focus on similar areas but might not have otherwise had an opportunity to connect.

The Collective’s primary mechanism for connecting scholars is through a mailing list.

It also aims to serve as a repository of other visual communication-focused associations and groups to increase the visibility and prominence of visual communication research across the globe. This repository is dynamic and ever-evolving.
